At snippetsafe, we prioritize your privacy through zero-knowledge encryption and minimal data collection. Our servers only store encrypted data they cannot decrypt. This policy explains how we handle your data.

Data Collection

What We Collect

  • Encrypted Messages: Messages are encrypted in the sender's browser before transmission using zero-knowledge encryption. We store only the encrypted content on our servers, which we cannot decrypt or access in any way.
  • Public Keys: When you create a share link, we store a public key to enable message encryption. This key cannot be used to decrypt messages.
  • Standard Logs: Our servers maintain standard access logs (IP addresses, timestamps, and request information) for security and maintenance. These are automatically deleted after 7 days.

What We Don't Collect

  • Private Keys: Your private keys never leave your browser. They are stored locally in your browser's storage and are never transmitted to our servers.
  • Message Content: We have zero access to the content of your messages. They are encrypted in your browser before transmission, and our servers only store encrypted data they cannot decrypt.
  • Personal Information: We don't require any personal information like email addresses or names.
  • Cookies: We don't use tracking cookies or analytics services.

Data Storage

  • Only encrypted messages are stored on servers in the European Union - we cannot decrypt or access the content.
  • Encrypted messages are automatically deleted after 30 days.
  • Public keys are deleted if not used for 30 days.

Your Browser Data

  • Private keys are stored in your browser's localStorage.
  • You can clear this data at any time using your browser's clear data function.
  • Clearing browser data will prevent access to previously received messages.

Third Parties

We do not share any data with third parties. All server infrastructure is operated directly by Agguro OÜ.

Changes to Privacy Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page.
